Holy Nativity School provides students with a developmentally appropriate, integrated and research-based curriculum. Our curriculum is developed and aligned with our mission, ESLRs and state and national standards (NCTE, NCTM, NSTA, NCSS). The curriculum is cumulative and designed to scaffold knowledge; one grade level builds upon the next, as each student progresses through our program with the intended sixth grade exit.
Small classes ensure that each student is known and that progress is carefully monitored and communicated. The strong academic program is balanced with a profound respect for the individual’s role in creating compassionate communities, global and local. In addition, confidence and independence can’t be taught—they are developed through years of experience. Our environment and our teachers mix high expectations and loving support to nurture active learners.
Specialist classes in Art, P.E., Music/Hawaiian studies, Religion and Computer (PK-6th) enrich every child’s learning and encourage each child to find/nurture their talents and gifts.
Co-Curricular programs are offered to all students to provide learning opportunities supportive of classroom and specialist curriculum. Co-curricular programs involve all students at Holy Nativity School.
Extra Curricular programs are offered (usually during school hours) in addition to regular school activities and curriculum and provide extended opportunities for students to explore and experience different areas of interest and talent. Participation in extra curricular programs is voluntary and encouraged.
Extended Day Classes are offered to students after school hours to provide extended opportunities for students to explore and experience different areas of interest and talent. Extended Day Classes are provided for a fee and offered quarterly throughout the year. Classes offered are subject to change.Co-Curricular:
